Eaze Into Observability

Eaze emerged in 2014 to deliver medical marijuana across California. As state regulations transitioned in 2016, Eaze branched to offer recreational cannabis via mobile app. Thousands of dispensaries now relied on their service, a much greater market than their original monolithic architecture was designed to handle.

To achieve more predictable scale and improve stability, the team boldly decided to engineer an entirely new service, migrating away from the monolith to a Go microservices architecture. Eaze turned to Honeycomb for observability, deep insights, and to decrease risk on their development journey. Eaze engineers now prioritize their work, avoid burn-out, and efficiently instrument their new service.
